iFLY Indoor Skydiving - Denver

Indoor skydiving at the Park Meadows-adjacent Lone Tree facility. A vertical wind tunnel that gives you 120 seconds of actual flight time across two sessions. A real physical experience, not a theme-park ride.
Why it's here
iFLY Lone Tree is part of a global indoor skydiving chain that operates a 14-foot diameter vertical wind tunnel powered by a 1,400 horsepower fan. The physics are real: the wind speed (around 130 to 175 mph) creates a stable column of air strong enough to suspend a human body in a flat, face-down skydiving posture. Your first-time package gives you two flights of about 60 seconds each, with a trained instructor in the chamber holding you until you stabilize.
The experience surprises people. It's not a thrill ride, it's a physical skill. The first 30 seconds you fight the air. The last 30 seconds, if you're lucky, you start to feel the body position that makes the air carry you instead of fight you. Real skydivers use these tunnels for training, which is the credibility check.
The Lone Tree facility is purpose-built: changing rooms, gear lockers, observation deck, a cafe. You'll spend 90 minutes total for a first-time package even though only two minutes are in the tunnel. The video they capture costs extra and is usually worth it.
First-time packages run $70 to $90 per person. Group rates available. Best for ages 10 and up, under that the experience is largely the instructor flying with the kid.
Know before you go
- •A unique birthday or special-occasion experience
- •Anyone who's curious about skydiving without committing to a tandem jump
- •Rainy or cold-weather Saturdays when outdoor plans collapse
- •Adults who want a real physical skill challenge in 90 minutes
Reservations are required, weekends book out 3 to 5 days ahead. Weekday evenings have walk-in availability sometimes, call first. Plan 90 minutes total for a first-time package, even though tunnel time is only 2 minutes.
Watch the tunnel for 10 minutes before your session if you arrive early. Watching experienced flyers will improve your body position immediately. Also: wear close-fitting clothes, no jewelry, contact lenses are fine but glasses get loose at 175 mph.
Not a thrill ride. If you're expecting a roller-coaster sensation you'll be disappointed. The marketed experience is real, but the actual sensation is more like swimming against a current than freefalling. Also: kids under 10 will spend most of the time being assisted, weigh whether the price is worth it.
