HRCA Independence Day Parade and 5K
Highlands Ranch keeps its July 4 morning traditions: the Independence Day 5K at 7:30 a.m. from Dorchester Street, a Pet and Bike Parade at 8:45, and the main parade at 9 a.m. along Highlands Ranch Parkway between Hepburn and Ridgeline.
Castle Rock Fourth of July at Festival Park
Castle Rock's free Independence Day celebration runs from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Festival Park, with live music, food trucks, the returning Pie Bake-Off, and fireworks at dusk (around 9:30 p.m.) launched from the Philip S. Stargazing Party at Sandstone Ranch Open Space
This event is for people who wish to observe and enjoy the night sky. Plan to set up your telescope while it’s still light, attend an informational talk while it’s getting dark, then head out to work on your skills when the stars are out. Our new site has many power outlets for all your needs on a broad patio. If you bring a telescope or binoculars, please be willing to share views with our guests who have no equipment. Be sure to dress in layers for the cold weather months. Please note – if there is more than one person in your party, EACH PERSON NEEDS TO REGISTER SEPARATELY.

Weekly gathering of 10-15 rotating food trucks at Civic Green Park with live music and a beer garden. Family-friendly with a play area for kids.
Elephant Rock Ride
Colorado's largest cycling event, launching from the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock. 100-, 62-, 32-, and 8-mile routes through scenic Front Range terrain. Typically first Sunday in June.

Monthly art walk along Parker's Mainstreet featuring local artists, live demonstrations, gallery openings, and street performers.
Fair & Rodeo: Colorado Farm-to-Table Brunch
Prepare to be inspired by food and community as you enjoy the Fair & Rodeo Colorado Farm-to-Table Brunch. Dine on a freshly prepared meal by Coast2Coast Catering, celebrating the rich agricultural and ranching heritage of Douglas County. Live music will provide a relaxing atmosphere while you browse the Vendor Village, the event’s exclusive market featuring local artisan booths and unique handmade goods. A limited number of tickets are available for this premier event to be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Sunday, July 26, at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock.
