If you want the whole Fourth of July in one place, kids included, Lone Tree is the 2026 pick. Everything happens at Prairie Sky Park, the day runs morning to night, and unlike Highlands Ranch this year, it still ends in fireworks.
The daytime
The day opens at 9 a.m. with a Family Fun Ride and Stroll, a one-mile route from Lone Tree Elementary along the Willow Creek Trail to Prairie Sky Park, with complimentary decorating kits. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Family Fun Park takes over with inflatables, games, live entertainment, and food trucks. That daytime block is free but requires a free registration, so sign up before you go rather than at the gate.
The evening
The evening Party in the Park needs no registration or wristbands. Gates open at 6 p.m., music and games start at 6:45, country artist Sophia Scott headlines at 8, and the fireworks go up at 9:30.
Getting there
Park at the Lone Tree Rec Center and ride the free Link shuttle, which runs from 6 to 10:45 p.m. out of The Hub and the Lone Tree Arts Center. That is the painless way in and out. Coolers, lawn chairs, and small propane grills are welcome. Glass, dogs, personal fireworks, and drones are not.
